GeoTech Center Regional Workshops
The National Geospatial Technology Center of Excellence (NGTC) will host four regional workshops in the summer of 2019. The workshops are open middle/high school educators and 2-year/4-year college faculty. Each of the workshops have a different focus, so be sure to read the workshop descriptions carefully before filling out this application.

San Diego State University, San Diego, CA - July 15-17, 2019
Parkland College, Joliet, IL - July 31-August 1, 2019
Lane Community College, Eugene, OR - August 6-8, 2019
To apply for the 2019 GeoTech Center regional workshops, fill out the following application. Please provide all information requested. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
In addition to filling out the application below, you must provide the following to be considered:
1- A signed W-9 (if you are requesting the stipend).
2- A 1-2 page CV - elaborate on the geospatial experience you have, if any. You do NOT need previous geospatial experience to apply to all workshops.
3- A proposal explaining what curriculum, exercise, or activity you will develop.
4- An image of yourself.
By filling out this application, you understand that you will receive a stipend for $700 if you develop curricular materials that can be used for teaching purposes. The $700 stipend may have tax implications.
Additionally, by filling out this application , you are agreeing to share the curriculum you develop with the GeoTech Center Community of Practice.
Application deadline is Friday, May 3, 2019. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis so be sure to get your application in early!

San Diego, CA: July 15 -17, 2019This workshop will have participants using drones for data capture and for the derivation of 3D models, designing and publishing local projects using ArcGIS Online, creating and developing Story Maps, performing spatial analysis using ArcGIS Online, and exploring data capture apps such as Survey123. As part of this workshop, participants will develop a lesson or exercise that can be used in one of their courses.

Getting Started with UAVs and FAA Part 107 Certification
